Elder Crowley's safe arrival

Brother and Sister Crowley, We wanted to let you know that your son, Elder Nathan Crowley arrived safely in Rochester tonight. He spent the evening at the mission home with us and twenty-two other Sisters and Elders. We have enjoyed getting to know him and feeling his wonderful spirit. Tomorrow we will take him to the Hill Cumorah, the Smith Farm and the Sacred Grove. Then he will meet his new companion and get settled in. We are grateful for his desire to serve our Heavenly Father and His children and know that his life will be blessed and his testimony strengthened throughout the next two years. Sincerely, President and Sister Francis

MTC Life

So much has happened in the last couple of days. We have personal, companion, and additional study everyday. We have about 7 hours of class everyday and getting up at 6:30 a.m. and staying up until about 10:50 p.m. makes for a very long day! My companion is Elder Gerber from Highland Utah. He is super cool and we are already killing it together. I am the Senior companion and we were made zone leaders on Sunday so we have responsibility over some other missionaries and a phone to talk to our branch president. Last night we had a big meeting and met the MTC President and his wife said something that particularly stuck out to me..."There is little growth in a comfort zone, and little comfort in a growth zone"...so here we are getting right out of our comfort zone and into a growth zone and it's awesome (feel the burn!!) It is incredible to see everyone rushing around to prepare to serve the Lord and give everyday their all. Especially since everyone is from all over the world! Keep on smiling! Here's another quote..."With man this is impossible, with God all things are possible"
